My first two medicated births left me with a lot of unanswered questions.

That’s where my story of how I got into birth work begins. Read about my journey below.

Learn.

My first two births were medicated hospital births that left me with a lot of questions. When I was pregnant with my third child, I started to look for ways to improve my birthing experience by getting better prepared and informed. I dived into all sorts of books and birth resources. I read about natural, unmedicated and cesarean births as well as the pros and cons of interventions. I was trying to learn as much as I could to have the birth I desired.

Heal.

I was in close contact with my midwife and doula, both of whom were very supportive. In the end and thanks to all the groundwork I had done both in knowledge and mental preparation, I had a beautiful natural birth, which was truly empowering and healing for me.

Share.

I understood the true meaning of the beauty of a birthing experience. I had managed to tame my fear and take control back into my own hands to experience the birth I desired. That’s when I decided to share how wonderful and amazing birth can be if the birthing woman is well-supported and makes informed decisions. I wanted other women to experience this. This is how my journey started.
